"Mama, ... I was really outside." is not a simple EP. It’s a testimony. It’s a record of moments when I could’ve gone left, but didn’t. Or almost did. It’s about being pulled between rage and restraint, between love and distance, between darkness and light. It’s the voice of my mother keeping me grounded. The unanswered calls. The sudden realizations. The feeling of being lost and trying to come home. Outside isn’t always the party. Sometimes it’s the test. And in every moment I chose not to fall, I was fighting to stay human.

“M8th (outside)” is based on a 2021 incident where the artist and friends were attacked and had their speaker stolen, sparking an internal conflict between staying calm and fighting back. The song reflects this struggle, symbolizing growth through faith in Jesus and marking May 8th as a meaningful day of both tension and celebration after lockdown. This music video was shot as part of the CokeSTUDIO Soundtrack competition for musicians.

The visualizer for my song “It Feels Different” from my EP “Mama,… I Was Really Outside.” This song, like the entire EP, is based on real-life situations I experienced. It captures moments and mindsets I had during that specific time in my life. I’ve long moved past that chapter, grown above and beyond it. Still, I felt the need to share this song in particular—because love, when done the right way, under the right law, and for the right purpose, is something truly beautiful.
